Largemouth Bass:  Good to 4 lbs. early on white/chartreuse spinnerbaits or chartreuse shad jerk baits in back of coves in 2-10 feet and later on whacky rigged watermelon pearl laminate 6" YUM Dingers on main lake and secondary points in 5-12 feet and flipping pearl watermelon shad 4" Berkley Power Hawgs on ledges and in back of coves upriver.

Smallmouth Bass: Fair to 3 lbs. on watermelon 3" Berkley Chigger Craws or crawfish 3/8 oz. All-Terrain finesse jigs with pumpkinseed 3" Berkley Sabertail Bug trailers over rock piles and along bluffs in 8-12 feet.

White Bass:  Good slow trolling live minnows, green olive Rapala XRap Shad  or chartreuse shad 2" Berkley Power Minnows on main lake points and in back of coves.

Crappie:  Fair on chartreuse Curb's crappie jigs tipped with live minnows or chartreuse Berkley crappie nibbles around brush piles and submerged trees off main lake points and upriver in 4-10 feet.

Striped Bass:  Fair in surface action under cloud cover on grey ghost Strike Pro Flex Phantoms on main lake points or drifting hybrid bluegills around the dam in 15-20 feet.

Perch:  Fair on live crickets or red worms.

Channel Catfish:  Good on Lewis Selects catfish bait and chicken liver in 6-20 feet.

Blue and Yellow Catfish:  Excellent on trotlines and juglines baited with hybrid bluegills and goldfish in 10-30 feet.

CHOKE CANYON

Revenge spinnerbaits, bluegill Tru-Tungsten swimbaits or white 8" Lake Fork Live Magic Shad in back of coves in 2-8 feet, flipping pearl watermelon shad 5" Berkley Power Hawgs or watermelon/red 10" Yamamoto grubs on 1-1/2 oz. T-Rig weights in holes in the grass and cranking green sunfish or chinquapin perch 3/4 oz. Luhr-Jensen Hot Lips Express over deep structures in 15-25 feet.

White Bass:  Fair trolling pearl white Bomber Fat Free Shad or drifting live minnows around main lake points in 10-15 feet. 

Crappie:  Fair on white crappie jigs tipped with live minnows over brush piles and standing timber upriver in 4-12 feet. 

Channel and Blue Catfish:  Good on Lewis Selects catfish bait and shad gizzards in 6-20 feet.

Yellow Catfish:  Excellent on trotlines baited with hybrid bluegills upriver in 6-15 feet.

LAKE AMISTAD

Water Clarity: Clear Water Temp: 67 degrees Current Level: 1102.00 ft./335.890 meters (Conservation Pool: 1117.00 ft. msl)

Largemouth Bass:  Good early on white 1-1/4 Revenge spinnerbaits, red bug V&M Bayou Giants, sunfish Reaction Strike Bull Bream or red ear Black Dog Shellcrackers  in back of coves in 2-10 feet and  fried green tomato or red ear 3/4 oz. Luhr-Jensen Hot Lips Express and 3/4 oz. Revenge football jigs with camo 5" Berkley Power Hawgs or watermelon chartreuse flake Lake Fork Creature trailers on ledges in 15-25 feet.

White Bass:  Fair trolling live minnows or Texas shad 1/2 oz. Luhr-Jensen Hot Lips Express on main lake points or in back of coves.

Striped Bass:  Fair trolling blue green ghost Strike Pro Flex Phantom off main lake points or drifting hybrid bluegills in 10-30 feet and good ripping bone Reaction Innovations vixens into schooling action.

Largemouth Bass:  Fair to 4 lbs. early on chartreuse/white 3/8 oz. spinnerbaits and drop shot rigged shad 3" Berkley Sparkle Bass Minnows in back of coves and later cranking Texas shad 1/2 oz. Luhr-Jensen Hot Lips Express along main lake points in 6-15 feet.

White Bass:  Good trolling pearl white Bomber Fat Free Shad or live minnows on main lake points.

Crappie:  Fair on white Curb's crappie jigs tipped with chartreuse Berkley crappie nibbles over baited holes and brush piles.
